Join a national network of forward-thinking educators and makers who are redefining learning through laser technology. The Trotec Educator Advocate Program is designed to celebrate best-in-class laser projects, foster peer-led innovation, and promote authentic, skill-based learning—all powered by Trotec’s industry-leading Ruby® software. 

Advocates showcase how Ruby streamlines creativity and boosts classroom outcomes, making laser integration easier, faster, and more rewarding than ever. Through peer influence, social media storytelling, and shared lesson plans, you’ll help inspire a new generation of creators. 

Who we are looking for:

  • K–12, CTE, Higher Ed, Innovation Space managers, or Maker educators using Trotec + Ruby in their classroom or lab 
  • Passionate about student-led, project-based learning and digital fabrication 
  • Willing to share how Ruby simplifies design-to-laser workflows and enhances learning outcomes 
  • Comfortable hosting occasional virtual or in-person sessions or taking reference calls 
What Sets You Apart as an Advocate:

  • You understand the power of Ruby’s one-click-to-job simplicity 
  • You bring real-world CAD/CAM experience to students through intuitive laser workflows 
  • You recognize how Ruby builds transferable skills in design, manufacturing, and creative tech 
  • You lead the way in showcasing how laser projects connect to future-ready career paths 
Your Role as a Trotec EDU Advocate:

  • Submit 1–2 inspiring case studies or lesson plans per school year 
  • Share project highlights through photos, videos, or classroom stories (#TrotecEDU) 
  • Act as a reference site or peer mentor for new schools exploring laser integration 
  • Attend 1–2 virtual Trotec EDU Advocate sessions or community webinars per year
